In the South, check out events in cities like Atlanta, Nashville, Charleston, and New Orleans. 2 Join Lesbian or LGBTQ+ Meetups (or start one!) Meetup is a free app you download. Fill out your interests, let it make suggestions of groups for you to join, or search out more on your own! Look for groups that cater specifically to lesbians or the broader LGBTQ+ community. Many groups host regular social events, hikes, book clubs, and more. 3. Go to LGBT-Friendly Bars and Clubs While dedicated lesbian bars may be scarce in the South, many LGBT-friendly bars host women’s nights or events that cater to lesbians, like My Sister's Room or Heretic in Atlanta or Club South 29 in Spartanburg. 4.
