There are 3 small villages in Paxos. Gaios, Lakka and Loggos. Gaios is a very sheltered port because of its small islets Agios Nikolaos and Panagia opposite. It looks like a small inland sea in Gaios.Gaios and Lakka are the ideal places to stay.When we visited paxos, we rented a house in Gaios. Then we rent a boat from Panos Boat rentals. We cruise by the boat araund the island. Italian - Greek architecture can be seen on the Paxos Island. You can enjoy the cafes on the beach and try delicious Greek dishes at the restaurants along the harbor. Mongonissi ia a small island which has a very nice bay to stay in while sailing.This island is connected to Paxos with a bridge. There is a private beach which has great restaurants. Kaltsonisi is another small island in south of Paxos .The Kaltsonisi Chapel is located on the island. The bay has crytal clear water without a beach. By renting a boat in Paxos, you can see blue caves and small islets. You can also swim in the beaches of Antipaxos. Loggos is a small fishing village on the east coast of Paxos.At the corner of Loggos harbor, the ruins of an old soap factory and its chimney are still standing. There are many rental boat companies in Loggos. Loggos is quite and peaceful in the evenings.There are many nice bars and restaurants. Around the narrow harbor road, there are two mini markets, souvenir shops and a patisserie.There are several shingle beaches nearby. I recommend Monodendri beach.Ben's beach bar is a very nice restaurant. Lakka is another very small port in the north of the island. It is a very good anchorage for sailing boats. You can go to Antipaxos in 15 - 20 minutes by boat. Voutoumi and Vrika beaches on the Antipaxos island are like paradise with their turquoise water. Daily boats visit Antipaxos for a swim break. You can enjoy the impressive rocky coastline. Blue Caves is a nice place for tourists who come by daily boats.The blue caves sea area is the natural habitat of the Mediterranean monk seals.You can enter breathtaking sea caves with their deep blue waters.In mythology, Paxos is known to be formed by Zeus because of his anger. Il bar sulla spiaggia di Ben è un ristorante molto carino. Lakka è un altro porto molto piccolo nel nord dell'isola. È un ottimo ancoraggio per barche a vela. Puoi andare ad Antipaxos in 15 - 20 minuti in barca. Le spiagge di Voutoumi e Vrika sull'isola di Antipaxos sono come un paradiso con le loro acque turchesi. Barche giornaliere visitano Antipaxos per una nuotata. Puoi goderti l'imponente costa rocciosa. Blue Caves è un bel posto per i turisti che arrivano con barche giornaliere. L'area marina delle grotte blu è l'habitat naturale delle foche monache del Mediterraneo. Puoi entrare in grotte marine mozzafiato con le loro profonde acque blu.
