With the Cannonball Stealth Starter you can now have a powerful electric start system without losing your kick start functionality or disturbing the look of your motorsickle. The system, specially designed for this Baker gearbox, bolts right in between the gearbox case and the kicker cover. Installing the starter kit is straightforward for seasoned home wrenchers. The kit contains all necessary parts and hardware, and the chrome 12-point nuts (like those used by Baker) make for a pleasing finish. The popular Baker 6-in-4 gearbox (for open or tin primaries) has an optional electronic speedometer pickup opening on the rear of the case. If you’ve been using this, the speedo pickup unfortunately has to be relocated to a wheel or a brake disc when the SSK system is to be installed. the necessary hardware is avlaible on wwag.com The now unused speedometer pickup opening needs to be plugged - use the OEM Baker plug or the Cannonball Tranny Plug, which gives you a little more creative freedom with its countersunk head. However, due to the many taste and/or configuration driven options available, there are parts that need to be ordered separately: Starter button, cables and battery. 6 Volt systems will have to be upgraded to 12 Volts.
