Meet the "SUPER AUDI!" The #Audi #rs6 GT Avant is potentially the greatest RS car #audisport has produced. With a hand-built carbon body, manual suspension, and more aggressive styling, it stands as the most extreme RS6 ever—and possibly the last pure combustion Audi we’ll see. But is it worth the £176,000 price tag? This GT isn’t just another RS6. It’s a limited edition, with only 660 units worldwide and just 60 cars reaching the UK. As the final pure combustion-powered RS6 before Audi shifts to hybrids and EVs, the GT marks the end of an era for petrolheads. Audi Sport has gone all out to make it something special, elevating it far above the standard RS6. In terms of design, the RS6 GT isn’t just about some flashy decals. It's got a completely carbon fibre body, hand-built for that exclusive touch. You get a new carbon front end inspired by the GTO Concept, a redesigned hood, integrated air outlets behind the lighter 22-inch wheels to reduce air pressure and improve brake cooling, and a pass-through rear spoiler that adds a motorsport-inspired touch. The heritage decals pay tribute to the Audi 90 IMSA race car, available in traditional Audi Sport colours (black, grey, red) or a stealthy black/grey theme. The RS6 GT is produced at Audi’s Neckarsulm plant, before moving to the Bollinger Hofe small-scale factory, where models like the R8 and e-tron GT are produced. Here it's remade by and by 7 employees specifically for the GT. Each one takes a full day to complete, including mechanical upgrades like the suspension. Performance-wise, the RS6 GT builds on the updates made to the RS6 and RS7 Performance models. Under the hood, it has a 4.0-litre V8 engine with larger turbos, increasing boost pressure and delivering 630PS and 850NM of torque. No change there, but it does launch from 0-60 in just 3.3 seconds, which is quicker perhaps thanks to the new diff. Audi has also removed around 8kg of sound insulation, allowing for a more raw and aggressive engine note. To handle the power, there’s a faster-shifting 8-speed gearbox and a reworked quattro sport differential for better agility and neutral handling, providing a maximum power split of 85% to the rear and 70% to the front. Perhaps the biggest upgrade is the manual coilover suspension, making its debut on the RS6 GT. For the first time, this model features adjustable coilover suspension as standard, lowering the ride height by 10mm, offering triple-adjustable dampers, and utilising stiffer stabilizers to drastically reduce body roll. Alternatively, buyers can opt for the RS Sport Suspension Plus with Dynamic Ride Control (DRC) or the RS Adaptive Air Suspension for a more comfortable ride. The RS6 GT is equipped with high-performance Continental Sport Contact 7 tyres for better grip and braking 2 meters earlier (!). Carbon-ceramic brakes are available in grey, red, or blue—saving 34kg over traditional steel brakes. The interior of the RS6 GT somewhat matches its exclusive nature, featuring new RS bucket seats, black interior accents with red and copper highlights, and an individually numbered centre console, all adding to that bespoke, limited-edition feel. The GT feels like more than just another final edition of a car. Instead, to me it feels like a culmination of all that’s come before it, in the most exciting package they could possibly manage before having to accede to the stringent suffocation of new car emission, noise and other regulations. No Audi sport wagon has ever been perfect. They’ve all been extraordinary in their own way, but there always existed a chink the armour somewhere. Can the GT be the perfect RS Wagon and justify that price tag? Lets find out! 🚨 RBR Partners Finance your car through Charles & Dean.
