Painting 15mm (or smaller!) miniatures always reminds me of something told to me about the difference in painting for display and painting for wargaming: "You're painting to be able to see what a miniature is armed with from a distance. The point of the paint is to aid target recognition." Now, I'm not sure that's always necessarily true, but it's something worth considering when you look at how much contrast and shading you apply to your 15mm figures! Making them easier to see is no bad thing, especially when you're moving around large armies of miniatures in smart uniforms armed with different gear.
