This project was inspired by the unique sci-fi lights found above the Droid Depot and cast member doors throughout Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland. Using 3D modeling, ABS filament, filler primers, clever assembly design, and a bit of creative weathering with oil paints, I walk you through how I built, finished, and wired this fixture with an animated NeoPixel light effect using an ESP32.
