This 1974 Golf Yellow BMW 2002 was built was for a customer with some specific wishes. Back in the days he owned a couple 2002's and decided he wanted to relive his youth and create a one-off car with some period correct add-ons and a bit of extra grunt. As a basis we took a standard 2002 single carb in factory original Golf yellow, something that suits this car wonderful well. The engine underwent a complete rebuilt using forged CP pistons with a higher compression ratio, twin 40 DCOE's, a fully mappable ignition and a Schrick hot cam. A full stainless steel exhaust with tubular manifold not only adds a bit of power but gives this car the voice it deserves. Estimated power is around 140hp with some strong low down torque. On the outside the car received two pair of Hella high beams, turbo striping, Alpina style alloys and an original Turbo boot spoiler. Lowering springs and sport dampers give the car a better stance and a sportier ride. The interior follows 'the rally theme' with a couple of BF Torino sport seats, Sparco harnesses and steering wheel, a bunch of extra gauges and a main switch in the redesigned center console.
