Casio MT-600 - Preset voices, Chord voices and Auto Accompaniment styles | Stereo Ninja Music

In this video, I showcase the 40 built in preset voices, 20 chord voices and auto accompaniment styles of the Casio MT-600 home keyboard from the late 80's The Casio HT-700 uses the same preset voices but in a different order. Several years ago I uploaded two videos onto my channel called “Casio MT-600 Preset Voices” and “Casio MT-600 Auto accompaniment styles and voices” which showed all of the standard preset voices, auto accompaniment styles and the additional 20 chord voices that could be accessed via MIDI . Back then I was still new to Youtube, my video editing skills were not as good and I was still experimenting on what type of content to upload. These videos are still popular on my channel, and I felt that there were several things that I could improve with them. I wanted to revisit them and upload a new and improved version onto my channel. The first thing that I had done was to go through all of the recordings I made of the voices, shorten some of them as well as record new versions. I did this as I felt that many of the recordings were too long (like the Pipe Organ voice for example) and I didn’t think that people would want to spend 30 seconds listening to one voice. I also didn’t like some of the original recordings that I did, so this gave me an opportunity to redo and improve them. The second thing that I did was merge the two videos into one. I felt that this would make it more convenient for the viewer, as well as eliminate confusion regarding the video title. I felt that the original title of the video “Casio MT-600 Auto accompaniment styles and voices” could be misleading, as some people may think that I was demonstrating the preset voices instead of the chord voices. Combining the videos into one will make it more clear for the viewer and hopefully reduce confusion. The third thing that I did was record some video of me selecting the voices on the keyboard instead of just showing the name of the currently playing voice and an image of the keyboard. I felt that this would add more character to the video and make it more interesting to watch. In the chord voice section, I added some text explaining that these voices can only be accessed via MIDI, as well as show some footage of me connecting the MT-600 to a Yamaha PSS-580, which I used as a MIDI controller. I felt that this would make it more clear to the user on how the chord voices can be accessed. The forth change that I’ve done is that the video is now 1080p resolution compared to the 720p resolution that the original two videos were, which should improve the quality a little bit.
