Gadolinium is the last of the elements that retains magnetism near room temperature along with Iron, Cobalt and Nickel. It's a silvery metal that tarnishes when exposed to Oxygen. It voraciously absorbs neutrons and can be used to control nuclear reactors. If you've ever had an MRI, you were probably injected with a Gadolinium compound that helped increase the contrast of that MRI.
