Tech below, as per usual: Chaos Spear keeps your speed in the air, so if you launch run just as you leave the ground (or do a double jump, air boost, exit a dash ring, etc.), you can keep throwing spears to go f a s t. The timing is lenient once you've started the chain (roughly 1 every 0.5s). Pressing the quickstep button during a jump will also lock in your speed. It's harder to control, but it's easier to do the input quickly, so it typically goes faster. Chaos Control capsules actually add to your meter twice. If you hold down the Chaos Control button, you'll buffer an activation, letting you exploit this. The trick won't work if you collect the capsule during an inactionable state (like homing attack recovery or jumping on the ropes), though, so it can be a little tricky. Sidestepping while surfing keeps your speed. It's not as bad as it looks since the pattern is almost always the same, but it is goofy. The tree launch at the start is easier than it looks. Just get in the middle of the truck, face Shadow upwards, then boost. Rarely fail runs here, but I believe it's only faster in the IL. That one pillar launch is also remarkably easy. Same idea there, very rare to drop a run to it. Gotta be careful when using Doom Blast though, since the enemy just won't travel if you hit him during Chaos Control while doing this.
