We visited Crich Tramway Village in Derbyshire which holds a huge collection of preserved Trams, and we took a ride on two of them. This is a place I have visited many times as a child, my father being a Tram enthusiast and it was also within about an hour's drive from most places we lived as I was growing up! This was, however, my first time back in 25 years. My parent's are members which helps to contribute towards the vast expense of running and maintaining the Trams. Staff, drivers and conductors are all volunteers giving up their time to ensure visitors have a fabulous day. The green double deck tram was out on the tracks all day whilst someone was learning to drive. Crich hold tram driving experience days, which my father went on many years ago. For my friends across "The Pond", if you have ever been to San Francisco you may recognise the Boat tram that we ride on, as one of her sister Blackpool Trams works the Waterfront. I remember riding on the Blackpool Boat Tram as a child in Blackpool.
