A friend of rapper YNW Melly has accepted a plea deal that requires him to talk to prosecutors in the double-murder case against Melly. Cortlen Malik "YNW Bortlen" Henry was sentenced to 10 years in prison today (Tuesday, September 9) with credit for time served after he pleaded no contest to charges of accessory after the fact to first-degree murder, tampering with a witness in a capital felony and unlawful use of a two-way communication device in exchange for that. Judge Martin S. Fien dismissed two counts of first-degree murder at the request of prosecutors. Henry, 26, will be on probation for six years after he leaves prison. Prosecutors are pursuing a death sentence against Melly, who is accused of murdering his longtime friends Anthony “YNW Sakchaser” Williams and Christopher “YNW Juvy” Thomas Jr. in 2018.
