We introduce the concept of parametric surfaces and learn how to find area of such surfaces. We distinguish this methodology from the one earlier that was valid only for surfaces expressible as the graph of a function of two variables. We find out the equation of tangent planes to parametric surfaces. Further, we return to finding the area and volume of surface of revolutions.
