Highlights: Left Hand Drive Performance Modified 3.0L Turbo Diesel Ironman 2” Suspension Lift Kit 5 Speed Manual Transmission We constantly search for long wheelbase 70 Series Land Cruisers. This particular one is special and rarely comes available with these options. The Land Cruiser features the rare combination of 1KZ 3.0L diesel, manual transmission, air conditioning, third row seating and limited slip rear differential. The majority of the 77 and 78 Series sadly came from the factory with automatic transmissions. The European market 1KZ-T engines featured a mechanical injection pump and did not have an EGR (exhaust gas recirculating) valve. The mechanical injection pumps are easily tunable and highly sought after. In addition, the lack of an EGR valve keeps the exhaust gas temperature and air intake temperature lower allowing the 1KZ to breather cooler air. This made the European market engines more reliable than the Australian and Japanese market KZJ Land Cruisers. We took this 1KZ-T a step further with a full performance build. An aftermarket Kinugawa CT12B Turbo with a billet wheel was installed for increased boost and power. The turbo upgrade was only one part of the equation as diesel likes to breathe freely and exhaust quickly. We built a custom air intake for increased air flow through the bigger turbo and a full 3” exhaust system. The side exit exhaust makes sure the exhaust temps leave quickly. Bolted to the turbo is a 3” dump pipe to a full free flowing 3” stainless steel system with a Magnaflow muffler. A nice sound without being obtrusive. The entire system stays cool by utilizing a custom built front mount intercooler which is nicely tucked behind the front grill. A boost controller is tucked away under the hood with an EGT gauge in the dash. We tuned the injection pump fueling to perfectly to match the increase in boost and air. This 1994 is a left-hand drive example sold new in Spain and modified by Car Cave. A performance modified 3.0L Diesel turbo diesel powers this truck and is mated to a five-speed manual transmission and a two-speed transfer case. The smooth running ultra reliable Toyota 1KZ-T is a 3.0L (2,982 cc) Single Overhead Cam indirect injection turbo diesel. Manually operated front hubs and 4-wheel high-range is push button controlled with a floor shifted transfer case for low-range situations. This LX model is finished in Toyota Paint Code 6M1 Dark Emerald Pearl with original graphics and FA10 light grey cloth interior featuring the original multi-color patterned seats. Factory equipment includes air conditioning, power locks, power mirrors, power steering, running boards, rear barn doors, rear wiper, rear defrost, digital clock, tilt wheel, manual idle speed, and power steering. The factory Toyota altimeter and thermometer are still present on the dash above the aftermarket head unit.
