Talking about disordered eating is not 'making excuses' if you are in a bigger body. Managing an eating disorder can be just as- if not more rewarding than weight reduction. Disordered eating behaviours can be very much normalised on social media so just because you've seen someone else do something does not mean it is ok. This video is not a replacement for seeing your healthcare worker- and it certainly does not replace seeing an eating disorders specialist. One of the best things about getting help with an eating disorder can be realising how incredibly 'normal' you are.... how the habits that you think are your own weird or wonderful 'quirks' can in fact be incredibly common.
