To the west of State Route 43 and south of Lansing Avenue in Kings County, Dragados Flatiron Joint Venture is constructing a 2,500 ft. bridge. The Cross Creek Viaduct will facilitate the passage of the California High-Speed Train over the Cross Creek waterway, which feeds into the Kings River. The foundation of this Type 1 structure will be built using the Cast-In-Drilled-Hole (CIDH) technique. This method involves casting reinforced concrete piles within drilled holes to specific depths, utilizing a heavy steel casing to prevent soil collapse during construction.
