How To Increase Vocal Range For Males - COMPLETE - Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy I get asked this question a LOT! How can I increase my vocal range? This answer is not so simple and here is why: It’s not just a matter of increasing range, it’s a matter of good, healthy vocal habits and training. We need to start with the building blocks first to establish good muscle-memory to “hold” the things we build on. I want you guys to think of this like building a house. We first start with a strong foundation. (No one really wants to hear this because they want easy tricks or tips on how to get range). Once that “foundation” is established, we can start putting up walls and then build various “rooms” to our house. Those rooms could be range, vibrato, belting, mixed voice, different tones and textures, melisma (licks and vocal runs) etc. etc.. But without that foundation, we create moving targets as to why we can’t get consistency out of our instrument.
