On August 28, 2020, the Geriatric Emergency Department Collaborative (GEDC), in partnership with the West Health Institute, hosted its first Healthcare Systems Roundtable. Advocate Aurora Health kicked off this series of discussions with an overview of their Quality Improvement initiatives system-wide. This event brought together healthcare leaders to explore the challenges and long-term sustainability of Geriatric Emergency Department (GED) programs. The discussion featured key insights on GED implementation, highlighting successes, challenges, and strategies for enhancing care, preventing falls, and maximizing ROI.
