Markham Man Shot in his Garage; York Regional Police Appealing for Witnesses

Investigators with the York Regional Police #5 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are appealing for witnesses and seeking suspects after a man was shot in the garage of his home in the City of Markham. On Wednesday, November 7, 2024, at 4:25 p.m., police responded to an unknown trouble call on Digby Crescent, near Aldergrove Drive. When they arrived, they located a man suffering a gunshot wound to his leg. The victim was transported to a trauma centre with non-life-threatening injures. Video recovered from the area shows a dark-coloured, newer-model Acura TLX sedan arrive and a suspect exit the passenger side. He is described as a Black male, wearing a black hoodie, black pants and black face mask. Investigators believe the incident is targeted and are appealing to anyone who has not yet spoken to police to please come forward. Additionally, they are seeking surveillance video or dashcam footage from the area at the time of the shooting.
