What was life like in Germany before and during WW2? What about during the communist regime in East Germany during the Cold War? TommyKay, an East German, decides to find out while sharing what he knows about the topics as well as telling personal stories as someone who grew up and lives in the eastern part of Germany today! Being surrounded by people who lived in these times, he heard a lot about what people around him thought of East Germany. But how did an average German live under this terrible regime that oppressed everyone, even its own people? What changed in Germany after democracy ended? What did people think about the events unfolding throughout Europe. Well that's what Tommy is here to learn as well because. even as a German, he doesn't know much about the life these people lead. But that's not the only topic Tommy will be reacting to! In the 2nd half of the video, Tommy will also be watching a video on life in East Germany. Obviously as someone from East Germany he knows quite a bit on this topic and has family that experienced this in detail so it's really interesting to see him react to this and get his perspective on the whole thing. There's a lot of rippling effects that last to this day from both of these regimes, especially for Tommy personally when it comes to East Germany. REMEMBER!
