Link to Nefas's video comparing Olorime to SPC: • Why Olorime Is Absolutely Better Than Spel... Olorime is better than SPC. This should be a no-brainer, yet a lot of people seem to think that SPC is better than Olorime in certain scenarios. Here's why this is actually not the case at all. First, Olorime has no limit to the number of people who can get the Major Courage buff. SPC has a limit of 6 people. This also includes pets as well, and pets are always eligible to receive the SPC buff. If you have Warden DPS or a magsorc DPS running pets, then they can "steal" the buff from another player. Second, Olorime procs when players enter the ring it create. SPC procs when you overheal an individual. These different methods of proccing Major Courage matter. It is far easier to get it from Olorime than it is from SPC, which is reliant on overhealing. Olorime does not have that restriction. Third, Olorime lasts for 30 seconds, while SPC lasts for 10 seconds. This is very important because the Olorime circle lasts for 10 seconds. This means that DPS only need to step in every other circle to maintain the Major Courage buff. Finally, Olorime provides Minor Aegis, which is a sizable survivability buff for healers. The main argument I've heard against Olorime is that it is bad for mobile fights. This is not an issue on Olorime, but an issue on the group. The DPS need to know what Olorime looks like, and the healers need to anticipate where their DPS will be and if necessary direct them to the Olorime proc. Because the buff lasts for 30 seconds, it is very easy to maintain the buff, even if you miss an Olorime proc. Even on fights like Asylum or the twins in Maw, it's easy for a healer to proc Olorime on one group and then shift to another group to give them Olorime. The mobility argument, while it is a legitimate one, is not a good one because it is easily remedied by "learning how to play."
