In this 8th episode of our Gujarat Road Trip, we dive deep into the legends of Dwarka and visit the powerful Nageshwar Jyotirlinga! After leaving our hotel, Hotel Royal Comfort, where we enjoyed a massive breakfast spread of poha, upma, and bread jam, we headed straight for the 8th Jyotirlinga of Lord Shiva. Wait until you hear the incredible story of the demon Daruka and how Lord Shiva appeared here as a self-manifested Lingam to save his devotee, Supriya! We also take a beautiful drive across the new Sudama Bridge to reach Bet Dwarka, an island filled with history and the remains of the ancient city that once stood here. Hiral and Miral had a blast shopping for Radha-Krishna lockets in the local market and feeding the seagulls at Gomti Ghat. We also tried some very unique local snacks, including the famous "B Butter" (Sing Paav)—a childhood favorite from our village made with roasted peanuts and salt.
