The Department of Family and Medical Leave has recently released its fifth Annual Report since it began providing temporary income replacement to eligible workers on January 1, 2021. The program has continued to grow as it passes the 4.5 billion dollar mark in benefits provided to those who are welcoming a new child into their family, are struck by a serious illness or injury, need to take care of an ill or ailing relative, and for certain military considerations.
