As part of our global efforts of reimagining sustainability, on the 8th of November, UPL was part of the launch of the Global Soil Health Platform at COP26 along with PWC, UN FAO, and other industry partners. Jonatas Bredow Alves, UPL Global Portfolio Head for Soil & Seed Health, represented UPL at the launch event and took the opportunity to emphasize the importance of soil to ecosystems and the role that soil can play in the fight against climate change. Jonatas focused on the importance of soil health, but also the need to embrace soil as a natural technology through which agriculture can play a significant role in carbon capture.
