BMW 335is N54 Engine Removal

In the continued spirit of efficiency, I've tried various variations on how to make pulling an engine from a BMW N54 335i easier. In this video, I'm using a 335is, which has the DCT transmission. The general concept applies to all E9x and E82 vehicles. Only the 4 wheel drive xi models will have more steps added to handle the front drivetrain. This project took me about 8 hours and that's mainly since I was in no rush and filming at the same time. I swear the lawn people are always cutting their grass around me, so have to stop and wait a bit to resume filming. So with electric tools and say the help of another person this motor can be out no longer than 4 hours. My first video on this topic was my first ever engine removal on my E90 335i. So did more things that weren't needed, such as disconnecting the A/C and power steering line. In both this and that prior video, you can watch them as a reference to help you layout a path to pulling your own engine. Hopefully, this will inspire more people to get their hands a little dirty or get a better understanding of their cars.
