LOVE AND RUBBISH (1913) - Ford Sterling (& Roscoe 'Fatty' Arbuckle)

So to mark National Silent Movie Day, here's the first of two Ford Sterling rarities. This one was shot mostly in Echo Park, just around the corner from the Sennett studios in Edendale and features Ford and Charles Avery as two flirting park sweepers. Watch out for child star Little Billy Jacobs, who appeared in many of the Sennett films around this time, along with a couple of brief appearances by Roscoe 'Fatty' Arbuckle, who literally tumbles into the set on the way to his next film shoot. This was directed by Henry Lehrman, who left Sennett the following year and took Ford Sterling with him. More on that later today.......
