Genre: trauma, feminism, suspense, lesbianism and Sexuality Lihaaf is an Urdu short story written, narrated, and published by Ismat Chughtai and is popular for its controversies. It was branded as a feminist work (feminism – not attacking men but the social structures. It also involves the freedom to express sexuality which is not right according to society) and was banned. The story is a ‘terrifying’ memory of the narrator that happened to her during her childhood.
