The Kh-101/Kh-102 constitutes a series of air-launched cruise missiles (ALCM) developed and deployed by Russia, possessing both conventional and nuclear capabilities. Serving as a stealthy successor to the Kh-55SM in the late 1990s, the Kh-101 features a conventional warhead, while the Kh-102 is equipped with a thermonuclear one. These missiles incorporate an electro-optical system for trajectory correction and a TV guidance system for terminal guidance. Their official range is 4,500 km or 3,000 km with a conventional payload, with the capability for re-targeting. Expected to maintain accuracy within 10–20 meters CEP, they are anticipated to be sufficiently deployed by 2023. The new missile system has undergone successful testing and has been in series production in recent years to outfit modernized Tu-160 and Tu-95MSM bombers.
