Lets Van Trip - VW Crafter Camper Van Conversion - Ep13 - Fitting Battens

In this video I fit the battens into the metal framework of the van. These are so we can attach the plywood and the cladding to the walls but also give us a solid frame to attach the upper cupboards and the kitchen units in. We used 25x38mm battens along the length of the van and then filled in the gaps inbetween them, drilling the timber with a pockethole jig so that it fits together perfectly and keeps everything strong. We bought the timber battens from B&Q and the screws from screwfix.
