In Oregon, an intrusion of magma is ongoing underneath a portion of the Three Sisters volcano. This has produced several minor earthquakes but most notably has since it began pushed overlying ground upwards by up to 1 foot or 30 centimeters. Yet, this is not yet concerning, as it appears to have been ongoing intermittently for multiple decades, perhaps even centuries. This video will discuss the Three Sisters volcano and discuss its ongoing magmatic intrusion.
