Here’s Everything You Need to Know About Cooking Pans in Costco 💯 First up is my least favorite: ❌ We have these nonstick pans with teflon. Because it’s nonstick you don’t need to worry about your food getting stuck to it, but the problem is you need to use high heat. That takes out some of the nutrients from your food. You also need plastic utensils when eating from the pan, because if you use metals and it gets scratched, that will put poisonous ions in the foods. 🤔 My next favorite are the steel pans: The pros here are they are very durable and easy to maintain. You can also use medium heat because they are good conductors. The negative is they put metals into acidic foods. ✅ My favorite is the cast iron pans: These are great heat conductors which allows you to cook at low/medium heat, retaining nutrients and pushing iron ions in the food. Only downside is it requires some maintenance: It doesn’t go in the dishwasher and you can’t scrub it too hard either because that might hurt it.
