Coire an t'Sneachda | A STUNNING winter walk in the Cairngorms

The Cairngorms in their winter glory are magnificent but they have to be respected. This time I’m headed out for a simple winter walk that doesn’t take me too far away from the car park of the mountain resort. This walk stuns with spectacular views and in the right conditions you can always find ice climbers and people working on their winter skills in Coire an t’Sneachda. A really fun thing to watch! On a clear day this is a very straightforward walk with the path usually well trampled and plenty of other people on the trail. But don’t be fooled, if the weather turns or the dark catches you unawares, this easy walk can very quickly become dangerous. So make sure you are prepared and always have an eye on the developing weather conditions. And no winter’s walk is fully complete without a hot chocolate to warm you up and the Cairngorms Cafe provides a great one!
