Thanks to Princess Auto for the needle nose hook pliers. You need an 8mm socket to remove the bolt. Since July 2022, the 2015 Micra has indicated a P0011 three times. On Feb 9, 2023, we began having power problems. Felt like a faulty fuel pump, but the P0011 came back. Investigation determined a possible faulty Intake Variable Valve Timing Solenoid (also called an Oil Control Valve). This job should have taken 30 minutes. But, I dropped the screw twice, and, the old part broke as I attempted to remove it from the engine. It probably took 2 hours. The part is very tight, and its difficult to pull out, because of the very tight rubber O-ring gasket. When I installed the new part, it was very tight once again, when the O-ring was going in the hole. The hooked needle nose pliers saved the day!!! We also did an oil & filter change. Mechanics state that the oil must be changed regularly, in order for these VVT oil control valves to operate properly. The car is running better than it has the past 6 months. It accelerates like it's brand new! I must stress NOT to be rough when removing the old part. If you mess up the aluminum housing, it's not going to be a good day. Use a magnetic socket when re-installing. I don't have one, so I used black electrical tape to hold the screw in the socket. Good luck.
