Latest Video: Wood & Metal Treadle Hammer for Forging/Blacksmithing Summary: -I am fascinated with power hammers! -I designed a treadle hammer in Fusion 360 that uses metal and wood. -I went with wood for some of the frame due to having most of what I needed and the cost prohibitive factor of metal for such large portions of the build. -I designed it around a 20 LB sledge hammer head and the 140 LB steel block that I already had. -The wooden anvil stand I also already made from reclaimed decking material. -I wanted to be able to add an air cylinder to it in the future; so I allotted for that in my design. -Enjoy!
