What exactly is vocal cord closure? Is it a technique or a concept? In reality, vocal cord closure is something we engage in every day. When we speak in our daily lives, our vocal cords are in a state of closure – two thin layers of vocal cords come into close contact with each other, blocking the passage of air and giving rise to voiced sound; otherwise, it results in unvoiced sound. However, many individuals are troubled by their inability to sense vocal cord closure while singing. This closed vocal sound can be roughly equated with "true voice," as vocal cord closure aids in producing clear, stable, and resonant sounds.
