Video of the making and result of a Fully Custom Handmade Hybrid Courier Messenger + Briefcase Leather Bag. Made from Italian Vegetable Tanned Full Grain Leather - Walpier Tannery. This is to showcase the hard work and time put into creating something like this. This video will not show the full process of labor. ■ The Strap System was recycled from a very old Chrome-Industries bag provided by the client. All the hardware pieces from the strap were cleaned and reused except the material parts. New car seat belt and Cardura strap were installed. I had to come with a way of removing all the straps and use the bag as a briefcase if necessary. I installed mini round carabiners for all the parts that connects to the main body. This bag took the most time I have ever worked on a bag. All the pieces had to be attached in the exact angle like the original courier bag. The leather of choice was Walpier Buttero 2.5mm and Walpier Rocky 3.7mm for contrast. As a Theme I wanted the model to resemble the WWII / Camping / Scout feel - with the body of the bag made from Olive Military Green Color and the straps and contrast leather from a Brown and Dark Brown shade. All the hardware and buckles are from Solid Brass, except the strap system which was recycled. ■ The Bag is made only with Hand Tools without any machinery intervention.
