Indian gangster shot dead in courtroom, perpetrator disguised as lawyer A gun battle broke out inside a courtroom at a court in New Delhi, India, which raised serious questions about his safety. Three gangsters were killed in a shootout that occurred during the trial. As reported by NDTV, Friday (9/24/2021), in some videos circulating gunshots can be heard inside the courtroom, with a number of police and lawyers running out of the courthouse in Rohini, north New Delhi. Two gunmen dressed as lawyers suddenly entered the courtroom and shot a gangster named Jitender Gogi three times. Gogi is known to be on trial as a defendant. The special forces personnel who were escorting the gangsters opened fire at the perpetrators. A shootout was unavoidable and the two perpetrators died instantly at the scene. Gogi, a notorious gangster involved in a number of criminal cases and imprisoned in Tihar since last year, was pronounced dead at a local hospital. The local police stated that a rival gang called the 'Tillu Gang' had been behind Gogi's murder since he was brought to justice. "Two people from a rival gang opened fire on Jitender Gogi inside the court. That's when the police retaliated and killed the two attackers," New Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana told NDTV. "Police acted quickly and killed the two attackers. A total of three people were killed, including Gogi," he said. It stated that the criminal gang that houses Gogi and his rival gang had been enemies for years and more than 25 people were killed in clashes between the two criminal gangs. Gogi, whose birth name is Jitender Mann, was arrested in March last year and declared a big catch for the New Delhi Police. The incident raises big questions about whether the metal detectors in the court were functioning properly or not, and if they were working, how could the two gunmen pass through undetected. "The question of whether the metal detectors malfunctioned in the courthouse is the focus of the investigation and I am not commenting on that at this time. We are investigating this case and will not release anyone involved in this shootout. No one will escape," he said. Asthana. "Delhi Police takes their duties seriously. We are effective and focused and that's why the shooter was neutralized successfully. We will talk more after a detailed investigation is carried out," he added. #india #kriminal #gangster #police #politics #politicalnews #latesnews #populernews #horrendousnews #inews #hotnews
