In 1986 I was commissioned by cellist Caroline Dale to write a piece honouring Jacqueline du Pre, but as I was writing it I began having visions of a woman being burnt alive and rising out of her body. 20 years later I met a great psychic and realised the visions were in fact past life experiences when in the 13th century I had been a Cathar Heretic! Me…a heretic? good grief, I believe EVERYTHING the government tells me!.....lol...... Revolutionary violin genius Nigel Kennedy began playing the piece and here's a live recording from 1988 with John ‘the doc’ Lenehan on piano..... The laurel symbolises the Cathars returning...
