This mine was featured on TV by the BBC for a program called (COAL HOUSE) which aired in 2007. A few years before the mine closed. in 2009 the mine closed its doors for good! Blaentillery Drift mine was mining coal that came from a seam called the Brithdir Seam No2. Im not sure how much they got in terms of coal. The mine owners used some men from Big Pit which is less than a mile away from the Blaentillery Mine! Not much history can be found on this mine. I hope that you enjoy this video!
