It's not a railway that was historically built, and looking at the field you'd question whether a train could make it up the slope at all. Nevertheless, it's now full to the brim with historical artefacts from all modes of transportation, and the story of how they were rescued is one that derives from destruction. This was the venue that hosted the TV programme 'The Great Model Railway Challenge', and the late Sir William McAlpine has played such a major role in so many preservation stories, so we talk about that connection within this video too.
