Watch as I create a small mosaic inspired by seaweed growing on rocks near the coast. This abstract mosaic design was created using various types of stone and some pieces of filati (the small round glass pieces) The pieces are individually cut and set into a bed of pigmented tile adhesive (also known as thinset). The mosaic was created as part of an art challenge to create a series of small mosaics inspired by images from nature. The mosaic measures 2.5x3.5 inches.
