Our Barefoot Beach Cottage Life Begins | Homeschool, Slow Living, Minimalism After years of renting and dreaming of something slower, simpler, and more intentional—we finally made the move. This is our fourth home, but it feels like the first one that really reflects the life we’re trying to build. We downsized from 2,000 to 1,400 square feet with our family of five and settled into this wooden fixer-upper just a few miles from the beach. It’s far from perfect, but it’s peaceful. It’s not a tiny house, but it’s the closest thing I could find that fits the life we want.
