We're back! It's been too long. My last upload was back in June with the DK cover and now we're covering a Rayman tune?! I've played quite a few Rayman games but never got a change to play the first, until now! Since the excellent collection of the different versions of Rayman 1, I've now played them all. And "The Magician's Challenge" is probably one of my favorite tunes from the OST. I think the version in Rayman 30th Anniversary by Christophe Héral is fantastic and it made me want to arrange a cover! "The Magician's Challenge", written by Rémi Gazel, was such a fun tune to record. When arranging this piece, I wanted to throw in big band elements and really exaggerate the wackiness of this tune. The Neverhood's soundtrack by Terry Scott Taylor has always been a big inspiration of mine and I wanted to capture the charm of that and blend it with something new... like Rayman music!
