Effects Notes: The clean parts use the clean channel on my amp with the MXR compressor and the AmpliTube delay/reverb effects. The distorted parts use the distorted channel on my amp and the AmpliTube tube compressor. After nearly a decade since the last time I did anything with this song, I'm finally wrapping up Meteora by covering it in its original tuning for the first time! The shift from Eb to Bb doesn't actually affect anything on this part, since it's all played on the higher strings. This consists of all of the octave parts and the clean parts, without anything overlapping to cause me to have to miss anything (all of the "extra" stuff is in my video for Guitar 2). At the end of the song, I play additional Bb octaves over the final chords like Brad does on the live version, even though they're not present on the studio version (I just thought it sounded silly to drop out 4 bars before the end of the song). Note that I did the fade-out on the sustained octave before the first verse in editing - I didn't have a convenient way to fade out like that and immediately jump back to full volume for the clean part that comes in with the first verse.
