Performing as a special guest artist for an event presented by CHINABOT. W/ SABIWA (TAIWAN) + LAFIDKI (CAMBODIA) 17 NOVEMBER 2018. LI YILEI performed songs from her unreleased albums UNABLED FORM and 0:00. Creating her own instrumental shelf and DIY theremin,utilising field recordings and created, most importantly, through a heavily conceptual foundation. LI YIELI is a London-based fine artist working with sound and performance, and founded NON DUAL collective in 2017. Working transcendentally and blurring the boundaries between sound and art, sound has always been anchored throughout her body of work, be it film or performance. Her practice of sound art embodies experimental music and sound installations, Each song is akin to a piece of audio poetry, and each set a performance essay. Each individual sound synaesthetically transfigures into a colour from a pool of infinite selection, and by putting them together, creates a painting that can be perceived behind closed eyes.
