Momo Jhol/Soup/Sauce Recipe Ingredients Tomatoes 1-1/2 cup Green chillies finely chopped 2 small Cumin seed 1 teaspoon Peanuts 1/2 cup Soybeans 1/3 cup Sesame seeds (Toasted) 1/3 cup Hog Plum powder(Lapsi ko Dhulo) 2 tablespoon Turmeric powder 1/8 teaspoon Red Chili powder 1/2 teaspoon Cilantro 1/3 cup Seasoned salt (optional) 1 teaspoon Hot Sesame oil 1-1/2 tablespoon Salt to taste Vegetable oil for frying Process: 1. Heat vegetable oil in a pan on medium high heat. Add cumin seed. Once it starts splattering, add tomatoes and green chillies. Cook them for about 5 mins. The tomatoes will be fully cooked and the oil will start to separate from the tomatoes. Turn the heat off and keep them aside. 2. In a mixer grinder, grind the peanuts into a fine powder. Keep it aside as well. 3. Put the toasted sesame seed in the grinder and grind them into a fine powder as well. 4. In a pan heat 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil on medium high heat. When the oil gets hot, add the soybeans and cook them for about 1 min until they are fully cooked. when the skin splits, that is the indication of them being done. 5. Put the toasted soybeans in the blender and grind them into a fine powder. Add some water for easy grinding. 6. Now to the mixer grinder which has the soybean paste, add cooked tomatoes, peanut powder, sesame seed powder, cilantro, hog plum powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, seasoned salt, salt, and some water. Blend until very smooth. 7. Pour the sauce back into the pot. Add water to turn it into a desired consistency. 8. Add hot sesame oil from the top. Mix very well. 9.
