Incredible second full-length from this London-based project, 2 years after their fiery debut "Stone Still Settling". An incredible record, following along the steplines of "Stone Still Settling" but with even more daring songwriting and better ethereal synthwork (often resembling the likes of the German 70's Cosmic Ambient legends). Wist solidifies themselves as, in my opinion, one of the very best Progressive/Experimental Black Metal acts in recent times, along with Cold Gate and Nacht und Gnosis with whom they share similarities, particularly the former. Following along the stepping stones layed by acts such as Ved Buens Ende and Fleurety, incorporating more blissful and vernal synth work, beautiful Folk passages, hypnotic psychedelia and various layers of abstract beauty underlined by an ever poignant melancholy, Wist craft another beautiful piece.
