In this video, you can see the Cottons program at 60c and 1600rpm in the new Miele W2. We are washing a load of towels and underwear. The program starts with FlexLoad detecting the weight of the load by spinning it to 600rpm with a bit of water. It sensed this load to 4kg which is quite accurate! Then PowerWash starts to saturate the load. I love the fact that this machine allows quite a lot of unbalance! A total water consumption of 8.6L was used during the wash. There is no water in the drum during the wash. There is a small bit of water below the drum that is heated and so the load is basically steamed so dirt etc comes loose. The jet is activated for a short period of time every now and then to resaturate the load. The main wash is followed by a 1000rpm inter spin whereafter a higher level rinse takes place to flush away the dirt. There are now 3 rinses as standard. The jet pressure/pump speed fluctuates during filling to cover the entire load in the drum with water. Interesting is the very slow drum speed during the rinses and the fact that the final rinse is almost double in length compared to the first 2 rinses. The final spin is almost the same as on my W1, there is still the slow down during the spin. But now it slows down to 1000rpm whereas my W1 slows down to 800rpm. There is now a much longer anti crease after the 600rpm phase and after the 1600rpm spin. The result was amazing and consumption was 1,3 kWh and 55.0 litres of water. Während des Waschgangs wurde ein Gesamtwasserverbrauch von 8,6 l verwendet. Während des Hauptwaschgangs befindet sich kein Wasser in der Trommel. Unter der Trommel befindet sich ein wenig Wasser, das erhitzt wird, wodurch die Ladung praktisch bedampft wird, sodass sich Schmutz usw. löst. Die Düse wird hin und wieder für kurze Zeit aktiviert, um die Ladung wieder zu sättigen. Auf den Hauptwaschgang folgt ein Zwischenschleudern mit 1000 U/min, wonach ein Spülgang mit mehr Wasser erfolgt, um den Schmutz auszuspülen. Es gibt jetzt standardmäßig 3 Spülgänge. Der Düsendruck/die Pumpendrehzahl schwankt während des Füllens, um die gesamte Ladung in der Trommel mit Wasser zu bedecken. Interessant ist die sehr langsame Trommeldrehzahl während der Spülgänge und die Tatsache, dass der letzte Spülgang im Vergleich zu den ersten beiden Spülgängen fast doppelt so lang ist. Das Endschleudern ist fast derselbe wie bei meiner W1, die Verlangsamung während des Schleuderns ist ebenfalls vorhanden. Allerdings verlangsamt sich die Drehzahl jetzt auf 1000 U/min, während meine W1 auf 800 U/min herunterfährt. Nach der 600 U/min-Phase und nach dem Schleudern mit 1600 U/min gibt es jetzt einen deutlich längeren Knitterschutz. Das Ergebnis war erstaunlich, und der Verbrauch lag bei 1,3 kWh und 55,0 Litern Wasser.
