C Liegh McInnis Speaks at Jackson State University Presidential Search Committee Listening Session

On October 27, 2025, AGB Search—the firm that IHL (Mississippi College Board) hired to conduct the national search for Jackson State University’s next President—held a two-day listening session, which started on October 27 and concluded on October 28. Both days contained two one-hour sessions for four of the five JSU stakeholders: staff, faculty, students, and alumni. (Unfortunately, the community at large was not invited to these sessions.) Stakeholders were asked to address three topics: What are the 2-3 most important talents, skills, and attributes that the next president should possess? What are the 2-3 most important opportunities that await the next president? What priorities should the new president focus on in the first year? This video includes all three statements made by poet, short story writer, and Prince scholar C Liegh McInnis, answering all three questions of how to identify the best candidate to be the next Jackson State University President.
