From the US album, “Out Of Mind Out Of Sight” Having formed in Melbourne, Australia in the late 70s, the Models released some 45s and albums in the early 80s, which charted in Australia. Their big breakthrough came when the album, “The Pleasure Of Your Company” reached #12 on the Australian album chart. A single from the album, “I Hear Motion” gave the group their first Top-20 hit. Overseas’ activity was sporadic with A&M issuing their first LP in the UK but there wasn’t much else. That changed with their 1985 album, “Out Of Mind Out Of Sight”, which was picked up by Geffen for US release. The album went to #3 in Australia and #84 in the US. The US version was “strengthened” by replacing the track, “Seeing Is Believing” on the Australian album with the earlier hit, “I Hear Motion”. As a single, “Out Of Mind Out Of Sight” went to #1 in Australia and #37 in the US.
